Ceramic workshops & wood firings in Portugal

An intimate place in Alentejo where clay, fire and people come together.
Clay Kitchen Portugal is a ceramic studio and retreat space in Southwest Portugal. It is dedicated to hands-on practice, shared experience and high-temperature wood firing.

First, the studio’s location defines the experience. Situated in the Alentejo region, near Vila Nova de Milfontes, it is surrounded by nature, silence and wide horizons. As a result, the landscape becomes an active part of the work, setting the pace and encouraging focus and presence. Clay Kitchen Portugal is a place created for people who want to work seriously with clay — through time, focus and presence.

At the same time, Clay Kitchen Portugal is dedicated to the art and science of ceramics, with a strong emphasis on high-temperature wood firing techniques. In this way, workshops, residencies and firings are grounded in process, experimentation and collective work. Above all, they are shaped by collaboration, commitment and shared responsibility.
